Soay In Canada!

The first two RBST registered Soay in over ten years are now in Merrickville, Canada! We had a call last night from the new flock owner letting us know they had arrived in good shape from their 24 hour car, ferry, and air plane trip. Thank you Frank! We are so happy that you like your little guys and are as excited about being part of the growing conservation project as we are. Getting small genetically balanced flocks established in multiple locations is a key to edging the Soay breed closer to the survival zone.

The import/export rules were changed right after our two Canadian flocks made it to their new homes. We are working to stay in compliance with the new regulations and will work to continue exporting to Canada as long as that window remains open.
