	Wind River Nicholson American Soay Ram Born: March 10, 2008 USA 0003 Jack In The Pulpit x Blue Mt. Double Nickel This is our first lamb of 2008 and was named for Errol Flynn - the original "Pirate" but then we changed his name to Nicholson because we couldn't remember Flynn, and his sire is Jack and his dam is Nickel - thus he is named for Jack Nicholson. He has the beautiful mahogany coloring of his dam, and may have the curling wool of his sire. *SOLD*
Wind River Laurel	Wind River Laurel & Wind River Hardy Easter Lambs! American Soay Rams Born: March 23, 2008 Skylonda Viking x Skylonda Caroline These two little guys are very cool. One is coal black like his sire and the other is mahogany like the dam. Named for the famous comedy team - Laurel and Hardy. They both may be carrying the genetics for polling as their dam is polled, and their sire is black. *SOLD*	Wind River Hardy
	Wind River Taylor American Soay Ewe Born: March 26, 2008 USA0001 Finlay x Saltmarsh Turmeric Taylor is a leader and always getting the rest of the lambs to run and play. She has beautiful coloring. The now deceased Red Deer is her grandsire, and is the line that the self colored chocolate American's came from. Finlay is a light phase tan carrier and sired a tan ram last year and carries white - so Taylor may carry all of these genetics. *SOLD*
Wind River Garbo	Wind River Garbo & Wind River Grable American Soay Ewes Born: March 26, 2008 USA0001 Finlay x Blue Mt. Gazelle These two little girls are the smallest lambs! Born an hour after Turmeric's lamb, near dark, with the weather forecast calling for snow - living off grid does have it's limitations! Being born so late in the day, with the cold and sleet, we weren't sure if they were going to make it through the night - but they did! Both out running around with Mom this morning. 	Wind River Rita American Soay Ewe Born: March 30, 2008 Blue Mt. Chamois x Greener Pastures 2 Ruth Nichols This pretty little girl was born as the sun came up. Named her after Rita Hayworth. By noon she was running and racing playing with the lamb crew on the other side of the fence. *SOLD*
Wind River Gable	Wind River Gable & Wind River Lombard American Soay Ram & Ewe Born: March 31, 2008 USA 0003 Jack in the Pulpit x Skylonda Savannah These BIG lambs were born this morning to one of our friendliest ewes. This evening when I went to give her some "private" hay she walked right up to the fence with her lambs and even after she went to browse through the fresh hay one of her lambs stayed at the fence sniffing my fingers! These lambs are going to be super friendly. Named after Hollywood sweethearts Clark Gable and Carol Lombard. *SOLD*	Wind River Lombard
Wind River Chaplin	Wind River Chaplin & Wind River Channing American Soay Ram & Ewe Born: April 5, 2008 USA 0001 Finlay x Blue Mt. Cashmere This is scurred Cashmere's first set of twins and she did a great job even though she skipped the sunny 60 degree days to lamb on a cold rainy morning. Cashmere may be carrying black genetics and the genetics for polling, and Finlay for sure carries tan genetics - so these two lambs - who may carry all of those genetics - could fill many niches in a breeding program. 	USA 3000 Olivia British Soay Ewe Born: April 12, 2008 USA 0001 Finlay x USA 0001 Faray Our first 2008 British lamb was born this morning, it's a girl! Even though the color on the first day doesn't mean much she is a very unusual brownish gray with very dark legs. Both Finlay and Faray carry genetics for light phase/tan so this little one may also. Named for Olivia deHaviland. *SOLD*
	Wind River Miranda American Soay Ewe Born: April 12, 2008 USA 0001 Venturi x Wind River McLaren This little girl was born on a hot, sunny afternoon and was the dark brown of her sire - Venturi. Both Venturi and McLaren may carry the genetics for white spotting. Named for Carmen Miranda - famed for the fruit on her head. *SOLD*
Audrey	Wind River Audrey & Wind River Ingrid American Soay Ewes Born: April 15, 2008 Skylonda Viking x Skylonda Estelle Beautiful mahogany girls born on a cold, rainy morning. These lambs are virtually identical. Though the pictures don't show it they are the same color and size. As they get older they should change enough to tell them apart. 	USA 3000 ZaSu British Soay Ewe Born: April 21, 2008 USA 0001 Finlay x USA 0001 Feadda This cutie will be staying at Wind River as part of our breeding flock. She has a lot of gray on her at this time, hope she keeps it! She has one white knee sock, one white anklet sock, and one white footie along with a white spot on both sides of her belly and white at her poll. 	Wind River Rooney American Soay Ram Born: March 25, 2008 Blue Mountain Avenger x Saltmarsh Tamarind Rooney is such a character blasting around his pasture chasing the other lambs. He let us know that his name was Rooney by his comic actions. This little guy is going to be huge. He is a big lamb and his dam has lots of milk. Rooney is a beautiful rich mahogany color - which is interesting as his sire - Avenger - is a chocolate/tan ram from the Red Deer line and Tamarind is a tan polled ewe. He may be a carrier of the polling genetics and the chocolate, tan coloring. Because of his potential for polling and chocolate he is a valuable ram and will be priced accordingly.
